Ashley Brown is delighted to be the major financial sponsor of the youth section of Gerrards Cross Cricket Club. During our association with the Club over the past three years, the Club has grown in both numbers and stature attaining a level of quality and performance we are all very proud of.

The priority given by this cricket club to providing safety and development with an extremely high standard of coaching is reflected in the joy shown by the boys – and girls – when training or competing. We now have indoor leagues for some age groups and also a programme of pre-season indoor coaching. We enjoy the services of professionally qualified coaches who share their time with the MCC indoor school, the Middlesex CCC Academy, Bucks, Kent and England Ladies, as well as schools and university cricket sections.

This year has certainly been a particularly notable year for the Club, with the award by the ECB of the Sport England ‘Clubmark’. We are proud to be associated with those particular qualities that will be embraced by the MCC’s ‘Spirit of Cricket’.

We are, of course, very fortunate to have the Dukes Wood Sports Club as our home ground which also sees minor counties championship cricket amongst the fixtures.

GXCC has created a structured development programme for boys and girls from the age of 7 to 17 years. ‘Clubmark’ recognises the way in which GXCC (Youth) have succeeded in reaching out to the community with schools liaison and inclusiveness. The Club is able to assist with fees in cases of genuine hardship.

Our best wishes to the Club for another successful year.
